A visit from a friend

You may know him online as Alternalife or Rockinrubber but I know him by his real name. We met up yesterday and he not only joined me for my camping trip but he also brought up some of his latex gear. I even got to try one item on!

It was a bit tight as you can see, but I’ve got to say even though this kind of stuff isn’t really my thing, I actually loved how I looked in it.

The difference between lighting styles.

Latex is notoriously difficult to photograph. It’s a very shiny material and under the right lighting it yields very reflective highlights.

Left to right we have:

1. Close lighting to the left; incandescent and one LED tuneable light set to cool white. Lighting straight in front – one incandescent spotlight about 10ft away.

2. Same as the first, but this time with the “house lights” on. These are fluorescent lights.

3. House lights and the 10ft incandescent spot only.

4. House lights only

As you can see the lighting really charges, particularly between the left two and right two photos. The specular highlights on the first two are really hot on the light levels.

Ooooh shiny!

So ASOS knows me exactly.

They sent me an advert on Facebook and it was for a high shine suit. I had to buy! It’s arriving this week.

The only worry I have is that it says in the reviews “runs small” and “no stretch on the fabric” on the sizing and even though I’m now a 36″ waist it’s a close thing. I’m not a belted 36 (which is my eventual aim).

It might not fit me now, but soon?

As you well know I have a huge penchant for shiny formal wear!

Metal…latex

My fetlife alter ego is “Metalatex” because I like both metal music and latex. Recently I’ve started to go for more an aging metalhead look – which I really like – finding out some old leathers (lace up for that authentic metal look) and a Spiral Direct sleeveless shirt (much helped by my rather splendid Legend of Zelda tattoo; which is a rather cool way of getting a wolf tattoo without looking like a shiter).

Today I thought, I wonder what it would look like if I substituted latex for the leather. The answer is cool (well if you like latex anyway) although I have to say I don’t think I’d wear this out. But then you never know…

I did a couple of versions of the one I thought would look like a really good avatar.

Colour point and kris.blog watermarked

Desaturated and with my kris.blog branding (I prefer the nomenloony brand for fetish sites).

Leaky camera version

With the leaky camera effect. No branding on this one. I liked the leaky camera on my previous latex avatar, but I’m not as keen on this one.

Previous avatar

I must say I’m really liking having hair again, but it needs taming. Perhaps when lockdown ends – but I’m keeping the length on top. The back of my hair gets ridiculously thick!

Taxes done.

I finished my tax return today. I’ve not submitted it yet, so I can have a look over it tomorrow and check I’ve not done anything stupid.

I also decided to try and get some decent photos of me with the tattoo and my recently reinstated piercings. I’ve even started to gel my hair back up!

I don’t mind this kind of mid life crisis.

Older guys can still 🤟Metal🤟

I may be in my late 40’s, but I still love modern power metal and hard rock music. I still dress for the scene and I can certainly out-Mosh many younger people at the alternative nightclub!

The shirt is by Spiral Direct, the jeans by Cathouse Clothing (they’re latex). Tattoo by Inkd Industries.

COVID 19

“Coronavirus” COVID 19 is absolutely flooring the population the the world right now, and it’s now looking like it’s going to put a major brake on loads of sporting and music events.

Already we’ve seen the London Marathon postponed until October, and now I’ve found out that Cruise to the Edge isn’t happening.

I just hope “Fortune Retelling” is safe.

Meanwhile, I’ve caused a bit of a stir on Instagram by sharing this photo.

In it I’m in my pvc suit, but I’ve added in a latex waistcoat to turn it into a three piece. Hell I’ve looked for a pvc waistcoat but so far I’ve failed.

It’s all part of the “be me” phase of my life. I’m not hiding who I am anymore.
