December will be magic again.

Even in these hard times we can all be assured that December will be a little change. I’ve noticed everyone is taking extra effort with their decorations this year to try and create a little Christmas spirit. Yes it’s going to be odd with the limited travel and the lack of parties (although I suspect some people will still have them anyway), and no gig on New Year’s Eve is certainly going to be strange.

I’ve really been quite well prepared this year, and in general we are very well prepared for the future. An impeding hard Brexit is not leaving me with an easy feeling as I am absolutely sure there will be trouble ahead if we do. We need a deal with the EU. A bad deal is better than no deal, but try telling that to the fuckwits in Parliament.

But I get into politics, and you don’t come here to read about politics.

My latest geeky purchase is a Samsung Galaxy Watch 3. I’ve upgraded my Galaxy Watch to it.

Note to self : you have tried Android Wear and you’ve tried Garmin and you didn’t like either.  Stick with Samsung.

The latest one is pretty much an iteration of the previous one but with extra features and slightly less weight, although I have had to sideload some of the features as they are not yet approved for use in Europe or the UK, and our regulators are still focused on COVID-19 vaccines (the first of which we already have now).

The first feature I gained is ECG. A very good tool for health monitoring, especially as I near 50. I’m already older than my dad was when he had his heart attack and keeping an eye on the electrical activity in my heart can be a good thing (although it does help if you can read an ECG rather than just relying on the software).

Secondly I gain a blood pressure monitor. Now this is definitely useful, as someone who can’t actually remember the last time I had my blood pressure taken it is a good idea to monitor it.

My readings show it is slightly elevated, but not a concern provided I keep an eye on it and make sure it doesn’t rise too much. Anything over 140/90 is considered high blood pressure.

However when I’m relaxed it has been as low as 115/73 so I’m not too concerned.

I suppose the thing raising my blood pressure is this…

Yeah I finally got my PVC tie! A friend on Instagram pointed me at them. It’s from a company in the Netherlands called Mr Riegillo. ( https://mr-riegillio.com/ )

I did have to give it a covering of latex polish before I could actually tie it though. It really doesn’t slide, even though PVC looks as smooth as hell it does actually grab against itself.

Anyhow, that’s my little update. Have fun.

Feeling pretty again

I always do when I’ve been to the barbers.

Haircut, full beard trim, shave. Feel sharp as hell.
I’ve also really noticed in the last few months how grey I’m going. My sideburns are pretty much pure grey now. I’ve also got patches under my mouth which are similar. I’m turning into a badger!

Asylum at Christmas

After much contemplation, I decided to take the plunge last night and head off to Asylum alone. Hannah wasn’t feeling too great but she demanded I go and meet up with my fetish friends before Christmas.

The order of the day was my PVC suit, combined with the sprout shirt. I’d been daring the look for a while, but this was it’s first public outing.

Sadly, the problem with wearing such a daring outfit to a fetish night is that nobody notices or comments on it!

But still… I looked awesome!

The leathers are back out!

After the recent heatwave it’s delightful to grab out my leather jeans again and put them on.

The reason, though, is no obvious.

My Pityriasis Rosea is still bubbling on and all the sites have now gone red and itchy. The last couple of days have been spectacularly bad with it. The leather is unfinished and unlined below the knee so it’s really soft against the skin.

I did try jeans originally, but I found myself wanting to scratch my legs off.

I have to say I’m running out of trousers that fit me though. These used to be seriously tight. They’re now baggy as hell.

I’ve ordered some new dress trousers, but I think I might be adding a pair of jeans onto the list too.

New Jeans

As my weight loss continues I’m finding myself looking at more figure hugging clothing, in particular slimmer fit.

At one time I would have seen slim fit light coloured clothes and shuddered.

Now I own some! Matched with a purple shirt and my Burgundy pattern waistcoat they look rather stunning! Perfect for Ethryll stage wear, but also good for general summer wear.

The clincher though? Cotton Traders, £18!

At one time I went down the route of 501’s only at £80+ a pair because I thought the brand made me look good. It’s not that way round though, it’s all about you making the clothes look good no matter what the brand.

One Mole for the Road

Yesterday was a day of celebration of the life of Adrian Price (Mole); drummer with Kingfisher Blue ; who sadly left us suddenly in January.

Ethryll had been invited to play as we are a fellow band in the same scene as Kingfisher Blue and have performed many gigs with the guys.

The gig was held in a small marquee at The Brothers Arms in Heeley, Sheffield. A pub with a beer garden featuring magnificent views over the valley. Such a poignant location as it was also Mole’s local.

It was a stunning gig and was also the first full 5 piece Ethryll gig with all the band together including new guitarist Jake.

It was also a perfect day to play our song Burning Blue which is about a perfect Summer day. As the festival continued we were treated to a magnificent sunset.

Quite a few pictures were taken – the gallery is below.

I suspect more photos will come in over the next few days so keep checking back!

BMI normal.

Whilst I don’t actually trust BMI as a way of indicating health, I do understand that it can be used carefully as a guide.

Today I weighed myself and at 86.8kg I now fit within the weight range of normal (although I’m still at the top end of the range).

I’m now fitting into 36″ waist trousers, including these rather amazing leather ones which look rather stunning if slightly dapper mixed in with this beautiful waistcoat.

…although this would be more my general office wear.
