Spectrapaint V3.0

I really cannot believe I found this software. I originally wrote it in the early 1990’s and released it freeware.

You can download it at classicamiga.com, although you’ll need an emulator like UAE to run it.

  1. Hi Kris,

This is Harrison from classicamiga.com (CA)

It was great to read your comment on CA about Spectrapaint, and to see it mentioned on here too.

It’s always nice to see members of the Amiga community rediscovering their long lost works.

I do have a request. We are currently missing some information about Sectrapaint and I hope you know the answers so that I can add the information and make the site entry more complete. Things we don’t know are:

What versions of Kickstart and Workbench were compatible?

    Could it run from HDD?

Were there other language versions available?

How much ram did the software require?

Were you the sole developer of the software?

Do you have any support files for the software which we could include on the site?

I hope you can help with some of these questions.

    Regards,

    Harrison.

  3. What versions of Kickstart and Workbench were compatible?
1.3 and 2.0 were tested. I never tried it under 3.0 but I do have it on good authority that it ran under KS1.2 also.

    Could it run from HDD?
Yes. It was written in AMOS and did work fine with HD.

Were there other language versions available?
    No – just English

How much ram did the software require?
    1MB (512K Chip, 512K Fast)

Were you the sole developer of the software?
    Yes.

Do you have any support files for the software which we could include on the site?
I have the source code disks which I will attempt to recover – if I can recover it, I will let you have the source code.
